I don’t want to say “we told you so“, except that I’m so the type of person who likes to say “we told you so”. Both Bin Laden videos released this month (Sept. ‘07) were fake. Fake fake fake.
Now, a video expert has carefully examined the videos and is ready to explain why he knows they’re fake. (Hint: the fact that the only references to current events happen during video “freezes” might be a clue.) See the analyst’s post at his blog for the full scoop.
The real question: who did the faking? As the mainstream media slowly picks up on this “revelation” of fakery, they’re going to presume that it was “Al Qaida”. Never mind that this “organization” doesn’t even exist anymore, in our analysts’ estimation, at least.
Do you think it’ll cross anyone’s mind that the fakers might have been contracted by the Bush administration? Motive? Check. Means? Check. Opportunity? Check, and checkmate.
