If you’re in the market for a flying car, you may not have to wait much longer. Moller International of Davis, California is close to marketing its hovercraft that floats along 10 ft. off the ground. The “flying saucer” is powered by eight motors which can run on regular gas, diesel or ethanol (more petrofuels, unfortunately). It’s officially known as a “VTOL”–vertical take-off and landing vehicle and is designed to stay under the FAA guidelines for requiring a pilot’s license. But will it fit in your 2-car garage next to that Hummer?

Ready to buy? You may not want to take out that black AmEx quite yet. If you listen to Art Bell, you’ve probably heard these guys promising the keys to the mothership for quite some time. Might be worth a look at these guys for a plane that hits the road or the sky.
