Ok, all right, so the CIA is getting ready to “come clean” this week by releasing decades worth of data about what naughty boys they’ve been. Oh, good, now we can trust you.
Here’s the thing: who says they’re not lying? I think all of these “confessions” — the assassination plots, the illegal wiretapping, the surveillance of private citizens who were considered “muckrakers” (ironically, including now-Whitehouse-shill Brit Hume) — all of that is just a smoke screen. These guys are way more guilty than they say.
How about possibly orchestrating 9/11? Helping cover up the Moon Hoax? Assassinate Vince Foster? Coordinate the Echelon system? Where are those confessions? Not to be found.
CIA director Michael Hayden told Forbes Magazine that this is now “history” — apparently he’s saying the CIA has repented. That’s like saying the scorpion has shed his stinger and turned over a new leaf.
Sorry, our Trust Department is closed.
