This story from Rob P. of Pennsylvania is just this side of creepy.
“Hey guys, just wanted to give you a shout and say I love your site! It’s really cool.
Anyway, I must admit I’m not a huge paranormal or conspiracy guy…I think this stuff is very interesting but I’m definitely in the ’skeptic’ category. One interesting story I have, though, relates to when I was a kid.
Here goes: I grew up in rural Pennsylvania , about 65 miles outside of Pittsburgh . One day (this was in the 1960s), I was with a friend of mine digging for worms to use for fishing. We were digging right on the edge of a little pond that was in a thinly forested area. As we were digging, we came across this little metal object. We picked it up and for the life of us couldn’t figure out what it was. It looked like a piece of something but it was too small for us to tell what it belonged to.
We forgot about it and went on with gathering our bait and fishing. Later that month, we were back at the same spot looking for worms. We were digging in the same area and again came across a little metal thing buried really close to the surface of the earth. This time we got curious and decided to heck with fishing, maybe there’s some sort of treasure around here!
When all was said and done, we found five metal objects, the biggest of which was approximately 6″ long. The pieces didn’t fit together so we had no way of knowing what they came from. But, what we were intrigued by was the writing on the metal. It looked like hieroglyphics — I know, I know, you’re thinking this is some lame, made-up story about finding an alien spacecraft. It’s not, I promise!! But, I will tell you that the metal pieces did have some strange, symbolic writing on them that we could not identify. Granted, we’re kids, but come on, kids aren’t that stupid. We knew it was something weird and mysterious.
My friend kept the pieces but through the years, he said he has misplaced or basically lost them. I think about those little metal things from time to time and now, after reading about Roswell and other so-called alien visits, I have to wonder if we found something.”
