Raving Lunacy: US About to Attack Iran (Not Iraq, IRAN)

Agent Zero

Remember that Iraq war? The one we launched because Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and had taken part in 9/11? Here’s déjà vu all over again: we’re about to do the same exact thing with Iran. Same exact lies, same exact actions, same exact quagmire.

I know, I’m in Don Simon territory (terror-tory?) right now. Forgive me, Don. Worse yet, I used a couple of your inside sources for this briefing. Have mercy on me, godfather.

Consider this a followup report to Don’s post. This news cannot be repeated enough, especially when I’ve got a tidbit of inside info. The U.S. military is about to start bombing Iran, with a ground war inevitably to follow. Recent troop build-up in Iraq (pay no attention to the Cheney/Bush administration’s B.S. lip service about scale-back) is obviously preparation: ground forces will be able to move quickly into Iran when the ground war begins.

What, you’re skeptical about what I’m suggesting? You don’t think the neocons in charge would be that crazy? Take a look at this; consider it background material for this discussion.

One big P.R. effort: that’s what you’re seeing. That’s bolstered by underground P.R., as well--for instance, the two fake Bin Laden videos released this month (Sept. 2007). That’s right, fake. In both videos, the picture freezes for extended periods of time. It just so happens that all references to current events are made during those freezes. Must be a coincidence. Let’s not even mention that the voice does not sound like Osama’s, the figure doesn’t really resemble him, and the videos have the telltale signs of computer manipulation. Take a careful look and you’ll realize the head has been grafted onto a different body. Osama had a big head when he was alive, but it wasn’t that out-of-balance.

But none of the propaganda and secret plans are really new.

Way back in 2000, the Project for a New American Century, a neocon “think”-tank produced a blueprint called Rebuilding America’s Defenses that has served as marching orders for the Cheney/Bush administration. On page 17, the authors call for war with Iran to follow the war with Iraq (mind you, this report was written well before Sept. 11, 2001):

Over the long term, Iran may well prove as large a threat to U.S. interests in the Gulf as Iraq has. And even should U.S.-Iranian relations improve, retaining forward-based forces in the region would still be an essential element in U.S. security strategy given the longstanding American interests in the region.

In simple terms: we gotta take Iran for ourselves. There’s just too much oil to be had.

Insane? You betcha. Even conservatives agree:

His source spoke with a neocon think-tanker who corroborated the story of the propaganda campaign and had this to say about it: “I am a Republican. I am a conservative. But I’m not a raging lunatic. This is lunatic.”

You might not think any of this is new; there’s obviously been some coverage about this half-baked suicide mission. But a few carefully placed contacts (conveniently borrowed from Don Simon) have confirmed the plan. Tactical plan as of Sept. 2007: begin bombing Iran before year’s end, and use nukes within the first three days.

You read that right: nuclear weapons. That’s how freaking insane these plans are. Cheney wants nukes in the mix.

Skeptical again? Straight from The American Conservative, written in 2005(!):

In Washington it is hardly a secret that the same people in and around the administration who brought you Iraq are preparing to do the same for Iran. The Pentagon, acting under instructions from Vice President Dick Cheney’s office, has tasked the United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM) with drawing up a contingency plan to be employed in response to another 9/11-type terrorist attack on the United States. The plan includes a large-scale assault on Iran employing both conventional and tactical nuclear weapons. Within Iran there are more than 450 major strategic targets, including numerous suspected nuclear-weapons-program development sites. Many of the targets are hardened or are deep underground and could not be taken out by conventional weapons, hence the nuclear option. As in the case of Iraq, the response is not conditional on Iran actually being involved in the act of terrorism directed against the United States. Several senior Air Force officers involved in the planning are reportedly appalled at the implications of what they are doing--that Iran is being set up for an unprovoked nuclear attack--but no one is prepared to damage his career by posing any objections.

What can you do? Probably nothing, nothing at all. This is, after all, a fascist administration, entirely uninterested in what you think or say. Impeached and convicted, they’d likely just flip us the bird and continue in office indefinitely (which is, some sources say, the plan--president for life).

The covert mission has already begun. Look for the real action on a TV near you, coming this Fall.
